The string quartet performs regularly for various events and concerts, with a wide-ranging repertoire of classical, jazz, oldies and contemporary pop music. All four musicians are currently members of the National University of Singapore Symphony Orchestra (NUSSO).<br /><br /><em><span style="color: rgb(192, 192, 192);">The word 'vitula' is medieval Latin for 'stringed instrument', and is believed to be significant in the etymology of the words violin, viola and violoncello. In obscure Roman Mythology, Vitula is the Goddess of Joy and/or Victory. Incidentally, Vitula is also a genus name for a type of butterfly in biological taxonomy.
